Tinau Development Bank has been incorporated as a 'B' class financial institution and has operated its financial activities form 15th Kartik, 2063 for undertaking limited regional banking activities. The Bank made public offering on 3rd Bhadra, 2067 for 3,00,000 shares. Out of which, 6000 shares were allotted for its employees after complying with all the conditions of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited and Nepal Rastra Bank.

The Bank is a public limited company incorporated under the Bank and Financial Institution Act 2006 and the Companies Act 2006. The Bank is licensed by NRB to undertake banking services. The Authorized Capital of the Bank is Rupees 200 Million and the Issued and Paid-Up Capital is Rupees 100 Million. 70 Percent of the Paid-Up Capital is held by the promoter and remaining 30 percent is held by the general public. The Bank has a 7 member Board of Directors (BOD) from promoters' group till the end to fiscal year 2067. In the near future the bank will have a seven member Board of Directors (BOD) out of which four represents the promoters' group, two represents the general public and one represents the Professional Director. To the date, bank has 5 branches, newest branch at 16 no. chowk of Amarapuri VDC has started its operation from 2068 Magh 26th. As the tresult of customers confidence in the the bank and its products, Rs 1 crore was collected on the opening day alone from 500 new accounts.
